Built like a refrigerator

Since seeing The Powder and the Glory, I can't help comparing myself to how Helena Rubinstein's phsyique was once described--built like a refrigerator. Amber tried to deny it when I was comparing myself to her refrigerator, but I definitely see the resemblance. Which is why I will not be buying this dress from ShopBop.

If it makes a model look that square, I fear what it'd do on my body.

The question of recession chic, or I'm going to Walmart tomorrow.

I think as a treat to myself IF I drop off my laundry--reason for an absurd lack of outfit posts (wearing whatever I can find that's clean)--I may have to go to Walmart tomorrow. Yes. Walmart.

I'm kind of obsessed with Norma Kamali. I was thinking about getting a couple more T-shirts, as that's all I wear anymore (with slim black trousers and boots) when I read a great article about Kamali in the NY Times. And, this T-shirt is $8.

It's kind of funny that I claim everything is in style, and yet, lately I've been paralyzed with insecurity about what I wear. Ok, not really that extreme, but there are something about these boots that I love, but I can't figure out how to wear them. Tweeted with Camille about it, but there's definitely a lack of confidence on my end despite her reassurance and good ideas. Maybe that explains the lack of posts lately.

3.1 Phillip Lim Oversized Linen Blazer

Net-a-porter had this for a sale a couple of days ago for $625, but after showing up in my inbox, this is no longer available--guess that marketing worked! I'm going to be sure to scope out H&M and Target (more my budget right now) to see if I can find an oversized blazer in a similar color. I'm obsessed with this shade of peach right now. Anyone see something similar?
